Kanata

Kanata is located about 22 km (14 mi) west of the city's downtown core. As of 2021, the former City of Kanata had a population of 98,938, with the population centre (which includes next-door Stittsville) having a population of 137,118.

Kanata is a large, fast-growing suburb known for its high-tech business parks and the Canadian Tire Centre arena, where the Ottawa Senators pro hockey team plays. There are several big shopping complexes, including the Tanger Outlets mall and open-air Kanata Centrum Shopping Centre. Small parks and playgrounds dot the area, while vast South March Highlands Conservation Forest has walking and mountain biking trails.

On March 21, 2025, Brother Him invited me together with his son Ching for lunch at Tava Turkish restaurant in Kanata. The foods especially lamb shank were super delicious! Thank you Him.

Nepean

A large district comprising residential neighbourhoods, Nepean is bordered by the Ottawa River and waterfront green spaces. On March 21, 2025, my big brother Him hosted a Yeung's Family dinner gathering at 168 Sushi Japan Buffet in Nepean. His son Ching arranged everything. Him, Darwood, Ching, Wai & Tim, Shing, Hanita and I were present. We had a wonderful and unforgeable time together and enjoyed the foods very much with full stomach when we left the restaurant. Thank to Him for his generous invitation and Ching for the perfect arrangements.
