Indulging in gourmet while exploring the South East

I already explored South East Asia including Hong Kong, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Ho Chi Minh, Jakarta and Bali; and indulged in gourmet from March 8 to April 4, 2023.

The purpose of travel mainly is eating and drinking , sightseeing, shopping and experiencing the customs and cultures of different countries in order to enrich knowledge. Eating and drinking is a culture and also is an art.

Kuala Lumpur

Kuala Lumpur is a federal territory and the capital city of Malaysia. It is the largest city in the country, covering an area of 243 km2 (94 sq mi) with a census population of 2,163,000 as of 2022. It is among the fastest growing metropolitan regions in Southeast Asia, both in population and economic development. Klang Valley (Kuala Lumpur) is ASEAN's fifth largest economy after Singapore, Jakarta, Bangkok, and Manila.
The city serves as the cultural, financial, tourism, political and economic centre of Malaysia.
Kuala Lumpur was ranked the 6th most-visited city in the world on the Mastercard Destination Cities Index in 2019.The city houses three of the world's ten largest shopping malls. Kuala Lumpur ranks 70th in the world and the second in Southeast Asia after Singapore for the Economist Intelligence Unit's Global Liveability Ranking and ninth in ASPAC and second in Southeast Asia after Singapore for KPMG's Leading Technology Innovation Hub 2021. Kuala Lumpur was named World Book Capital 2020 by UNESCO. In 2024, Kuala Lumpur was ranked second for the best outstanding city in Southeast Asia after Singapore and 135th in the world by the Oxford Economic Papers' Global Cities Index.

Arrival

I flew on Singapore Airline from Singapore to Kuala Lumpur at 12:50 pm on March 20, 2023. I arrived at Kuala Lumpur International Airport KLIA at about 13:50. The lineups for customs clearing were long but the KL system was very efficient and fast. I used mobile Apps to declare customs in advance. I passed the customs at around 14:50. I took the KLIA Ekspres at Klia T1 KL Airport to KL Sentral, then I changed to KL Monorail Line MRL by Rapid KL to Bukit Nanas. From there, I walked to Concorde Hotel in 2 minutes. The total travel time from the airport to the hotel was about 1hour. The Rapid KL is world class, clean, comfortable, convenient, fast and efficient.

I checked in the Concorde Hotel very quickly. It was elegant and cozy. I could see The Petronas Towers from my room. It was just amazing! Kuala Lumpur was truly beautiful.
