Indulging in gourmet while exploring the South East

I already explored South East Asia including Hong Kong, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Ho Chi Minh, Jakarta and Bali; and indulged in gourmet from March 8 to April 4, 2023.

The purpose of travel mainly is eating and drinking , sightseeing, shopping and experiencing the customs and cultures of different countries in order to enrich knowledge. Eating and drinking is a culture and also is an art.

3.  Bali Indonesia Episode Part 1:Kuta Arrival
     Dining, Sightseeing and Shopping

             Thursday, 2023/3/23

I flew by Malaysia Airline from Kuala Lumpur to Jakarta on Tuesday March 21, 2023. Then I flew by Lion Air from Jakarta to Bali on Thursday March 23, 2023. I arrived in I Gusti Ngurah Rai Domestic Airport - Bali (DPS) on time at 11:50 am. After checking out, I took a Blue Bird taxi to The One Legian Kuta Bali Hotel and checked in sound and safe.

Bali

Bali is a province of Indonesia and the westernmost of the Lesser Sunda Islands. East of Java and west of Lombok, the province includes the island of Bali and a few smaller offshore islands, notably Nusa Penida, Nusa Lembongan, and Nusa Ceningan to the southeast. The provincial capital, Denpasar is the most populous city in the Lesser Sunda Islands and the second-largest, after Makassar, in Eastern Indonesia. The upland town of Ubud in Greater Denpasar is considered Bali's cultural centre. The province is Indonesia's main tourist destination, with a significant rise in tourism since the 1980s. Tourism-related business makes up 80% of its economy.

Bali is the only Hindu-majority province in Indonesia, with 86.9% of the population adhering to Balinese Hinduism.

Kuta, Bali

Kuta is a tourist area, administratively an urban village (kelurahan), and the capital of Kuta District, Badung Regency, southern Bali, Indonesia. Kuta is a part of the Denpasar metropolitan area and is situated 12 km (7.5 mi) south of Downtown Denpasar. It was originally known as a fishing village, it was one of the first towns on Bali to see substantial tourist development, and as a beach resort remains one of Indonesia's major tourist destinations. It is known internationally for its long sandy beach, varied accommodation, many restaurants and bars, and many renowned surfers who visit from Australia. It is located near Bali's Ngurah Rai Airport.

Kuta is a beach and resort area in the south of the island of Bali, Indonesia. One of Bali's first tourist developments, it's best known for its party-centric atmosphere and surfing in the Indian Ocean. Kuta's long, consistent waves make it a popular surf spot, particularly for beginners, with plenty of outfitters offering board rentals and surf lessons.

On October 12, 2002, Kuta was the location of two bombings carried out by Jemaah Islamiyah suicide bombers, a violent Islamist group. At 11:05 p.m., a suicide bomber detonated a bomb inside their backpack while at the nightclub Paddy's Pub, injuring many. Around 20 seconds later, a more explosive car bomb was detonated in a white Mitsubishi van in the bar Sari Club located opposite to Paddy's Pub on Legian Street.
The heavily populated residential and commercial district sustained substantial damage, with a crater one meter (3.3 feet) deep created by the car bomb. There were 202 fatalities and 209 injuries.

Warung Mina

Authentic Indonesian warung food on the fancy Petitenget Strip. Warung Mina specialized in Indonesian seafood and the dining setting is very traditional also, tucked in a Javanese Joglo house with indoor and outdoor dining tables. The service is friendly and on some evenings, they have live music.
